A proposal to port Wine to OpenBSD has been made. The main challenge was the restriction of %gs/gsbase in OpenBSD, but a software workaround has been found that allows for emulation of this prefix in instructions. This breakthrough enables testing of numerous 64-bit Windows programs on the platform.
