OpenAI Soft-Releases GPT‑6 Astra

OpenAI has announced the soft release of GPT-6 Astra, which will be available to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, as well as via the OpenAI API and AWS. It is priced similarly to Claude Fable 5 and 5.1. Initial reports suggest GPT-6 Astra outperforms Fable on OpenAI's self-reported benchmarks. The author, Simon Willison, has not yet personally tested the model.
