The author shares their experience of deleting their fedi account due to feelings of scrutiny and aggression from followers. They reflect on the change in community atmosphere from a safe space to one that resembles their previous experience on Twitter. Although they plan to return in the future with tighter control over their follower base, they currently prefer to focus on blogging and using Matrix for social connections.
