Introducing compromised password detection for GitLab.com

GitLab.com is introducing a new feature for compromised password detection starting June 19, 2025. This feature alerts users if their password has been found in data breaches during sign-in attempts. Users will receive notifications if they log in with a compromised password and are encouraged to change their passwords and use additional security measures, such as strong passwords, password managers, and two-factor authentication, to enhance account security.
