Apple has announced several changes for developers with apps in the European Union under the Digital Markets Act. Developers will be able to communicate and promote offers for digital goods outside their apps. A transition to a single business model, moving from Core Technology Fee to Core Technology Commission, is planned by January 2026. Additionally, updates to user experience for installing alternative marketplaces or apps are forthcoming, along with a new API for downloading such apps from within existing applications.
