Candle is a new intra-Asian subsea cable system, featuring 24 fibre pairs with a capacity of 570 Tbps, linking Tokyo to Singapore while strategically avoiding the South China Sea due to geopolitical tensions. It offers a more direct route than the Apricot project and provides important digital infrastructure diversity in the region.
