Summary
This study analyzes the socioeconomic effects of solar mini-grids in rural Kenya and Nigeria, based on interviews with 2,658 households and business owners. The findings reveal significant improvements in economic activity, productivity, gender equality, and health safety after connecting to mini-grids. Median incomes quadrupled, demonstrating the transformative impact of decentralized renewable energy on communities.
