R in the Browser: Announcing Our WebAssembly Distribution

This blog post announces the addition of the R programming language to the Emscripten-Forge distribution, enabling its use in JupyterLite through the Xeus-R kernel. It discusses challenges faced during the packaging process, the shift to a browser-based environment for Jupyter, and the broader implications for scientific computing workflows.
