Magic Eden users lost NFTs and approximately $1.8 million in wETH due to a legacy approvals exploit from the old payment processor Limit Break. This exploit affected listings on Magic Eden’s EVM marketplace, leading to numerous high-value NFTs being stolen. However, a whitehat hacker, 0xQuit, managed to recover over 23,000 NFTs valued at more than $5.7 million, promising to return them to their original owners after they secure their permissions.
