Google is restructuring its artificial intelligence leadership with the departure of Chief Scientist Jeff Dean, who has been with the company for 27 years. Demis Hassabis, head of Google Deepmind, is ascending to a chairman position and also taking on the role of Chief Scientist for Alphabet Inc.
